Concept B: The Kit

A show site assembled from a small, reliable set of parts

One call sheet. Every answer in the right place.

The Kit treats the play site as a practical production tool. A parent sees the next thing to do. A volunteer sees where help is needed. The same confirmed fact appears once, then feeds every page that needs it.

Preview information only

This is the component every page draws from. It prevents the show hub, tickets page and volunteer page from quietly disagreeing about a date, location or next action.

Seven reusable parts

Marquee

A single bold promise, not a wall of theme. It changes with the production without changing the site structure.

Scene

One image-led moment for atmosphere, always below the first useful answer.

Callboard

The shared facts. Update it once, and the same source feeds every other component.

Box office

A clear place for tickets, prices and the action to take. It stays quiet until sales actually open.

Lobby

A short orientation for first-time families: what the play is, who it is for and where to start.

Cast

Cast information can be member-only without making the public production page vague or empty.

Backdrop

A small visual system that can be reskinned next year. The information architecture survives a completely different show.

The practical payoff

Creative enough to feel like a show. Structured enough to run one.

Instead of a bespoke page that must be reinvented next year, the PTA gets a small kit of clear building blocks. The creative direction can change. The dependable way parents find answers does not.

This is a design study. Dates and actions above are illustrative, not published production information.
